The man raised his head. He was carrying a glittering tablet with scriptures that they did not recognize. A quill floated on top of each one's head. He spoke."You are the chosen ones. You are all fortunate but this fortune comes with great responsibilities".

The red quills exploded and turned into red dust which fell to the hands of four of them. "Hold the Phoenix's dust. For some of you, an end will come but a new start will follow and with the dust, you will be remembered through your legacy. To others, this will mark a start full of promise, full of hope, to a place where duties and adventures meet".

The white quill exploded next and turned into white dust which fell to the chest of another man. "Hold the dust of wisdom. Teach the world to value things beyond this life."

The silver quill exploded next and its dust filled the arms of another man. "Take emptiness from their time and filled it with opportunities to attain strength, agility and dexterity."

The green one followed. Its dust fell into the eyes of a woman. "Make them see the world through your eyes. Live with metaphors, inspirations, conquer fears and see the beauty of life."

The blue quill followed suit and its dust fell into the lips of a woman. "Speak of the truth and let it be known to all."

The gold quill exploded and its dust fell into the shoulders of the other two. "The resources are in your hands. Use it wisely, fulfill the mission."

A man carrying a torch stepped forward and blew on it. The place shone. "Come to me, if you need light."

Another one, carrying a scepter followed. "To lead is an honor."

Then the man carrying the tablet laid it down and a blinding light covered them all.

Yeah, good old Facebook. I'm a late bloomer where this social networking site is concerned. Before, I find it really complicated and not user-friendly.

I rediscovered Facebook just about a month ago. Go and create an account and fall in love with the applications. If you don't you'll be missing half of your life.

Okay, I was influenced by my six-year old son on this one. But I really like it and if only we have a fast internet connection, I will probably play each and every game on this site. Even the dress-up ones.

I'm talking about Y8. It is a site that holds a collection of wide variety of games organized into categories so you can easily find games that suits your interest. Only if you will allow your kids to enter this site, be sure that there will be an adult to supervise because there are un-kid-friendly games and videos included in the site.

I like Swords and Sandals - Gladiator, The Farmer and The Governor of Poker the most.

I am addicted to this site. This is how it works. You create an account, create a pet, not all pet species are available though. Some you can get through hard work or luck.

What I like about this site is that you'll never get bored. There's something in the site for you no matter what you're into.

If you're a good businessman, you can do "restocking". It's about buying stuff from the main stores or other players' stores and selling them on your own and making profits. You can also try their trading post and see if you can get a good deal. You can also bid on expensive and rare items, or even not-so-rare ones that other players put up for auction. They also have the stock market where you can make lots of neopoints (Neopets Money) if you make the right decisions.

You can also collect avatars. There are some that are really easy to get but there are some that you really have to work for and a few where all you can do is hope. There are some guilds that require a certain number of avatars before you can get in and I'll explain the guilds later.

If you are good with games, there are lots of them to choose from and if you're better than the others, you can collect trophies to display on your user look-up or trophy cabinet. Some avatars are also attainable when you make certain point with the games.

Other than the avatars, you can also collect stuff. There are stamps, petpets, jellies, pink colored items, or whatever you desire to collect and display on your gallery.

If you like making graphics and you're good with HTML or CSS, you can also practice and let other people appreciate your talet through customizing your user look-up, and other neopets pages layout with your personal artworks.

Chatter? You can also chat with other players on the Neoboards. It has different sub-forums for you to choose from depending upon your interests.

Now if you're an avid fan of a certain neopet, a celeb, a tv show, a movie, a music artist, anime, role-playing or whatever you can think of, you can join a guild with people who share your interests. You can also start your own if you like.

Some people say it's a waste of time, buying fake stuff through earned fake money. But I love this game and what I like most about it is getting to know people from different places, different cultures and making new friends.

Pinoy Design

I play an online game called MU Philippines. I like visiting that game's forum because I learn lots of stuffs there, chat with my friends and get some pc-related tips and help too.

While I was reading the topics and posts on the Tavern, a board in that forum, I saw Sir Chayd's topic about Pinoy Design. Well, I ignored the topic for a few times since I am so not a designer and I don't even have a photoshop. I tried making/modifying graphics through Paint but everything I made stinks. And I got a lot of negative feedbacks from the neopians. (People who play Neopets)

Then one time, when I was really bored, I opened that Pinoy Design thread and saw that people who would like to learn are welcome to the forum too. Since I was a forum addict and I really wanna learn more about photoshop, I registered.

I got the software, then saw some tutorials posted on Pinoy Design and I tried to follow them. And I was really happy when I made my first artwork. Well, it's not really good but it is better compared to my paint stuff.

The coolest thing about the site is that the tutorials are simple and are easy to follow. You can ask questions and other members are always willing to help.

And you wouldn't get bored because not everything in the forum is about designing, you can chat about anything under the sun.

They also have tutorials for other programs, not only photoshop and also some HTML tutorials.

But I have to say that the coolest thing about the site is that you can use your post count to purchase softwares.
